He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Barron Phillips and Hazel Colleen Phillips; and his brother Charles Barron Phillips (Colleen Phillips). He is survived by: his children, Jesse Barron Phillips II (Leah) of Walstonburg, N. C. and Sarah Marie Phillips (Josh) of Bunn; his sister Catherine Phillips Feik (Kevin) of Wilmington, N. C; his grandchildren, Claire Cheyenne Phillips and Jules Dare Wheless; his nieces and nephews, Bonita Fenton, Kelly Breita, Kevin Johnson, Christopher Phillips and John Phillips; and his pet Anchor.
