He is survived by: his stepparents, Edgar Nieves of St. Cloud and Sonia Crespo of San Sebastián; his significant other Melissa Kellogg; his sons, Cameron Kellogg and Ricardo "Ricky" Vélez of Hampstead, NC; and his sisters, Jessica Vélez (Julio Pena) of Milford, CT, Veronica Vélez (Hugo Orellana) of West Haven, CT, Bonni Bell Vélez of Douglas, GA and Lilybeth Johnson (Marcus) of Pennsylvania. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
