She was predeceased by: her parents, Jay Lee Wallace and Geneva Etta Benfield Canipe; and her sister Evelyn Safriet. She is survived by: her children, Darby Dillard (Betty) of Charlotte, NC, Rebecca Newman (Seth) and Debra Spinks (Donald "Rocket); and her grandchildren, Gabe Aldridge (Seth), Lauren Radkowski (Adam), Jessica Dillard, Andrew Spinks and Justin Spinks. She is also survived by the ten great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the New Hanover County Humane Society or to the Alzheimer's Association, reflecting Peg's enduring love for animals and her compassionate spirit.
