She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis White and Lena Klutz White; her former husband George Elliott Benedict, III; and her sister Mary Jane Marshbanks. She is survived by: her husband Ogden; her sons, George Elliott Benedict, IV of Apex and Gregory Keith Benedict (Tamera) of Long Beach, California; her sisters, Bobbie Furr of Raleigh and Betty Krizek of Durham; and her grandchildren, James Benedict and Charlie Benedict.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the The-Sound Episcopal Church (101 Airlie Rd, Wilmington, NC 28403).
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial contributions to Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center or St. Andrews-on-the-Sound Episcopal Church, or to the charity of your choice.
