She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Ebie Joyner and Lena Frances Foy Joyner; her husband Earlie Overton Carroll, II; and her siblings, Frances Joyner Ellington, Clyde E. Joyner, Jr. and Roy Vance Joyner, Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Earl Carroll of Wilmington, NC, Lydia Horne (Mark) of Wilmington, NC and Jackie Edwards (Al) of Wilmington, NC; her grandchildren, Tiffany Hahn (David), Lauren Horne, Carson Horne and Meagan Workman (Billy); her great grandchild Laiken Mae Horne; and her brothers, Robert Joyner and Alfred Joyner.
