She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lawrence and Dolores Mae Gravel Patterson; and her brother James Patterson. She is survived by: her siblings, Goldie P. Stetten (Michael), John Patterson and Edward Patterson (Kim). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.
In honoring Lily's generous spirit and love for others, she donated her body to the UNC Medical School.
