It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louise Merritt Davis of Wilmington, North Carolina, who passed away on February 4, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Chancey E. Merritt and Ida Mae Merritt; her husband Charlie C. Davis, Jr.; and her sister Dorothy Rivenbark. She is survived by: her children, Chuck Davis of Leland, Jean Lilley of South Carolina, Cathy Janicki (Bill) of Rocky Point and Johnny Davis, Sr. of Southport; and her sister Myrtle Lowery of Mississippi. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
