He was predeceased by: his parents, James Delesly and Lelia Virginia Crocker Pigford. He is survived by: his wife Helen Ezzell Pigford; his children, Sandra Pigford Osborne and Louis Edward Pigford, Jr. (Melissa) of Wilmington; his grandchildren, Kimberly Pigford (Brett West), Tiffany McDonald (Chris), Ryan and Gary Lanier; and his great grandchild Everly Glen McDonald.
