She was predeceased by: her parents, E. Van Clewis and William Clewis. She is survived by: her husband Carlos Mendez-Ruiz; her sons, Jason Clewis (Kim) and Christopher Stallings; and her siblings, Tony Clewis (Darlene), Buddy Clewis (Jenda), Cindy Gause (Kent) and Teresa Jimenez (Jose).
