She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Bohannon and Katie Bohannon; her husband Jerry Sexton; and her grandson William "Billy" Ward. She is survived by: her children, Toby Ison (Susan), Samantha Ward (William), Debbie Hause (Charlie), Chris Sexton (Windy), Michael Sexton (Emily), Daniel Sexton and Jennifer Watson (Jeremy); and her grandchildren, Johnnie, Brittany, Jessica, Amanda, Lauren, Tiffany, Matthew, Ashley, Wesley, Josh, Noah, Mhylia, Michael, Anthony, Damian and Isabella.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Brookfield Church of God (3615 Chippenham Dr, Wilmington, NC 28412).
