With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karl James Coats of Wilmington, North Carolina, who passed away on December 23, 2024 at the age of 38. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Karl James has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He is survived by: his parents, James Edwin Coats, Jr. of Wilmington and Pamela Bringedahl of Bradenton, FL.; his wife Hailey Axeen; his stepson Landon; his son Kayne Coats; and his sister Leni Coats. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Whispering Pines Baptist Church (6547 Carolina Beach Rd, Wilmington, NC 28412). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
