She was predeceased by: her husband David MacKain; her daughter Wendy (Gerhold); her nephew Steven Hepner; and her sisters, Eileen and Shirl.
She is survived by: her daughters, Bonnie and Sally MacKain; her sons-in-law, Bill Feuer and John Gerhold; her grandchildren, Paula (Megan), Kelly Gerhold, David and Henry Cutting; her nieces, Trisha Hepner, Cindy Looney, Kris and Karen MacKain; and her nephew Brandon Hepner.
She was a devoted friend, and a lifelong member of P.E.O. Chapter Y. Together with that Sisterhood, Joyce helped raise funds for women's scholarships each year by donating for auction hilarious, personalized songs for donors' answering machines—for birthdays, anniversaries, or any occasion.
