It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Alton Sellers Jr. of Wilmington, North Carolina, born in Southport, North Carolina, who passed away on January 28, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Alton, Sr. and Sadie Lewis Sellers; his son Mark Sellers; his son-in-law Warren Balentine; his grandson Reid Balentine; his daughter-in-law Carolyn Sellers; and his brother Earl Sellers.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Bohannon Sellers; his children, Steven Sellers, Dawn Gurganus (Ronald) and Alysyn Balentine; his grandchildren, Stephanie Dyer, Jillian Clay (Zachary), Perry Balentine, Sydney Sellers, Ian Sellers (Catherine), Westley Sellers, Emma Sellers and Ashley Rudolph; and his great grandchildren, Laurel, Nicholas, Addison, Sutton and Peyton.
