She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor Patterson Carr and Mary Louise Cottle Carr; her husband David Bland Hilliard; and her stepfather Jim Penney. She is survived by: her children, Matthew David Hilliard (Bess Hilliard) and Mary Susan Brammer (Scott Brammer); her grandchildren, Tory Elise Hilliard, Ella Grace Hilliard, Airlie Lillian Brammer and David Howard Brammer; her sister Mary Jane Puckett; and her siblings-in-law, Ben Hilliard (Brenda Hilliard) and Doris Hilliard. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
