He was predeceased by: his parents, John Daniel Montgomery and Ruth Rice Montgomery. He is survived by: his wife Diane Blanton Montgomery; his children, Curt Montgomery, Joe Schoo (Jenny), Jon Schoo (Julie), Laura Knowles (David) and Michelle McNish; his sisters, Brenda James (Dixon) and Gloria Heddrick (Jerry); his grandchildren, Dylan McNish, Reese Royal, Caroline Knowles, Shanna Knowles, Zach Schoo and Jeffery Schoo; his nephew Rob Heddrick; his niece Jennifer Smith; and his close friend Annette Costa.
In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions in memory of John may be made to a local animal rescue of your choice.
