He was predeceased by: his parents, James King, Sr. and Frances Faulk King. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn J. King; his children, Serena Bell (Ervin) and James King, III (Keri); his sisters, Priscilla Criswell and Brinda King; and his grandchildren, Gabrielle Goodson (Landin), Brooke King and Jacob Norris. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel (1535 S 41st St, Wilmington, NC 28403). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Wilmington Funeral and Cremation (1535 S 41st St, Wilmington, NC 28403).
