He was predeceased by: his wife Charlene; and his parents, Marion H. Prosser and Edith N. Prosser. He is also survived by his four sons and their wives, his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren.

A burial was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Sea Lawn Memorial Park (17750 Hwy 17, Hampstead, NC 28443).
