She was predeceased by: her parents, George Hannah Newman, Sr. and Eula Louise Jenkins. She is survived by: her siblings, Richard, Michael, Christine, Jane, Serena, Eula and Donnita; her children, Tyria Candelaria and Chris Jenkins; her granddaughter Aneulena Barber; and her great grandchildren, Amarè Darrell-Richard Barber and Aubrielle Eulah Barber.
