He was predeceased by: his parents, Fanny Wray Gillie and Henry Clay Gillie; his wife Kathleen Hyler; and his son Richard. He is survived by: his children, Cathy Hudson (Bill), Judy Creech and Rob Gillie; and his great grandchildren, Jaxon, Beckett, Collins, Hallie and Cannon.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Lower Cape Fear Life Care of Wilmington.
