She is survived by: her sister Janie Langley; her daughters, Pamela Leonard Mercer (Johnny) and Rhonda Leonard Hutson (J. Michael); her grandchildren, Robert Mitchell Clardy, Blain Smith Floyd (Nick), Asheton Mercer Coley (Richard), Jessica Smith Whitley (Will), Jamie Mercer (Elease), Gabrielle Burnett, Hannah B. Walters (Jessie) and Sophia Burnett; her great grandchildren, Maddie Floyd, Dylan Floyd, Liam Coley, Sloan Coley, Millie Mercer, Mable Mercer, Walker Whitley and Wyatt Whitley; and also, Frank R. Leonard, Kimberly R. Leonard Naylor and Sabrina R. Leonard Burnett. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Esther's memory may be made to Lower Cape Fear Lifecare or the Davis Community.
