It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Durwood Louis Johnson of Wilmington, North Carolina, who passed away on June 19, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Austin Johnson and Edna Lee Johnson; his children, Michael Johnson and Leigh Ann Nance; and his brother Harry Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Teresa Neely Johnson; his daughter Sherry Krise (Russell) of Conway, SC; his stepson Jeff Harker of Wilmington; his brother Jack Johnson (Alice) of Youngsville, NC; and his grandsons, Garrett Johnson, Hunter Nance, Jay Nance and Drake Harker. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
