She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Noah Matroni and Katherine Agnes Creegan Matroni. She is survived by: her husband Thom Rakes; her daughter Maureen Denise Conner; her son-in-law Brian Conner; her granddaughter Sienna Conner; and her siblings, Ann Verlinden (Gerald), Mary Matroni, Katherine Matroni Mobley (Bob) and Bob Matroni (Nancy). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family, as well as many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, Denise's family asked that donations be made in her honor to REAP, or to your favorite charity.
