With solemn reverence, we commemorate David John Harkness of Wilmington, North Carolina, born in Trenton, New Jersey, whose life came to an end on November 7, 2024 at the age of 76, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Downs Harkness and Jean Smith Harkness; and his brother William Harkness. He is survived by: his wife Betty-Ann Bell Harkness; his children, Megan Hart (Dan), David John Harkness II (Dana) and Scott William Harkness (Melissa); his brother Michael Harkness (Donna); his sister-in-law Peggy Harkness; and his grandchildren, Charlie Hart, Emma Harkness, Ella Hart, Scotty Harkness II and David John "Davis" Harkness III. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Quinn McGowen Funeral Home - Wilmington (315 Willow Woods Dr, Wilmington, NC 28409). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St Mark Catholic Church (1414 Physicians Dr, Wilmington, NC 28401).
