He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Mintz Hardison and Riley Vance Hardison, Sr.; his wife Marie Potter Hardison; and his brothers, Vance, Charles, Harold and Jack Hardison.
He is survived by: his son Daniel Ray Hardison, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Sheila Lorek Hardison; his grandchildren, Ryan (Danielle), Jacob, Nathan and Tessa Hardison; and his siblings, Horace (Maggie), Donald Hardison (Joyce), Margaret Bishop (David) and Rececca Smith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
