He was predeceased by: his parents, Dudley Pender and Rosa Bell Pender; his daughter Kimberly Clyde Pender; his great grandchild Mason Shaw; his brother Tom Pender; and his nephew Dale Causey.
He is survived by: his wife Maxine R. Pender; his daughters, Tammy Langley (Tom) and Cheyenne Robinson Pender; his grandchildren, Jade Edens and Taylor Shaw; his great grandchildren, Jackson Edens and Rylie Shaw; and his siblings, Mack Pender, LD Pender (Barbara), Wayne Pender, Clayton Pender (Bonnie), Daphine Causey, Marvoline Watts and Vera Mills.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Greenlawn Memorial Park (1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28412). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Masonboro Baptist Church (1501 Beasley Rd, Wilmington, NC 28409).
