He was predeceased by: his father Charles Linwood Whitehurst; and his grandparents, William Whitehurst, Joseph Royal and Kay Royal. He is survived by: his mother Tracey Royal Peoples (Andrew Peoples); his grandmother Carolyn Whitehurst; his daughter Madison; his brother Steven Whitehurst (Jennifer); his nephews, Elijah and Cameron; his niece Savannah; and his uncle Billy Whitehurst. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
