He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Smith and Woodrow Smith of Fairmont, NC.. He is survived by: his wife Miriam; and his children, Suzanne Huggins (Jim), Marte Ward (Jeff), Ginny Breece (Corey) and Bubba Smith (Connie). He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
