He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Carlyle J. Stehman and Ursula Hample Stehman; his brother Carl Stehman; and his granddaughter Lillian Pettigrew. He is survived by: his wife Dr. Joan D. Willey; his brother Dr. Robert Stehman; and his children, Joseph Stehman and Darcie Pettigrew. He is also survived by five grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
