He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Delenor Afton and Linneta Wright Afton; and his sister Loretta June Russell. He is survived by: his children, Charles Afton Jr., Debra Ellis (Dan), Cynthia Ward (Mack) and Terri Afton; his brother Carl Afton (Linda); his former wife Betty Afton; and his sisters, Joyce Baker, Sue Barendse, Harriet Doxtater and Delores Denhof (Bob). He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren, and his 7 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Greenlawn Memorial Park (1311 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28401).
