He was predeceased by: his parents, Enos Blake and Naomi Hudson Blake; his daughter Renee Cooke; and his siblings, Lois Tankersley, Enos Blake, Russell Blake and Patricia Eastwood.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Brooks Blake; his daughters, Kimberly Leonard (Bobby) and Sandra Burroughs (Brannon); his brother Jimmie Blake (Beth); and his grandchildren, Sarah Jarvis, Tamar Bumgardner, Caitlyn Leonard, Amy Leonard and Noah Burroughs. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
