It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ann Marie Nickerson of Wilmington, North Carolina, born in Martinsburg, West Virginia, who passed away on August 16, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bessie Vanmetre Bergdoll Diffenderfer and Cleland B Bergdoll; and her husband Philip E. Nickerson. She is survived by: her children, Philip E. Nickerson, Jr. and Katherine Ann Bond (Bradford Bond); and her grandchildren, Vaughan Nickerson, Philip G. Nickerson, Elizabeth Bond and Edward Nickerson.
