He is survived by: his wife June Walton Lederle of Wilmington, NC; his children, Catherine Martin "Cathie" Lederle of Richmond, VA and Arthur Walton "Walt" Lederle (Ellen) of Hampstead, NC; his grandsons, Alan Joseph "AJ" Lederle (Erica) of Springfield, VA, Alex Walton Lederle (Meghan) of Birmingham, AL and Corbin Lederle Spivey of Richmond, VA; his brother-in-law Louis Edgar "Ed" Walton (Lesley); his nieces, Kelly Walton Miller (Brian) and Kristen Walton Wester (McNeil); and also, Ashton Edward, Audric Walton, Emma Bernadette and Evelyn Annette "Evie".
