It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Ogburn McLaurin (Willow Spring, North Carolina), who passed away on August 23, 2019, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Lee and Eurice Langdon Ogburn. She is survived by: her husband Ottis F. McLaurin; her sons, Rodney Coates (Annette) of Hampstead and Eric Coates (Tammy) of Willow Spring; her stepson Howard McLaurin (Patty) of Angier; her sisters, JoAnne Myers (Leamon) of Willow Spring and Joy Dry of Willow Spring; her grandchildren, Wesley Coates of Castle Hayne, Matthew Coates (Brooke) of Wilmington, Maggie Coates of Tampa, FL, Connor McLaurin (Marah) of Baltimore, MD and Cassidy McLaurin of Angier; and her great grandchildren, Walker Coates of Castle Hayne and Stone McLaurin of Baltimore, MD. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
