He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Walton and Mary Alice Walton; and his siblings, Omalene Barefoot, Katherine Pope, Maylon Walton and Lavern Walton.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara S. Walton; his sons, Kent Walton (Gwen) of Garner and Kevin Walton (Angela) of Holly Springs; his grandchildren, Courtney Gulley (Jeff), Abbey Walton, Brady Walton, Lily Walton and Nina Walton; his great grandchild Wood Gulley; and his sisters, Elizabeth Wedding of Willow Spring and Charlotte Walton of Willow Spring.
