She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Shipman and Lois Shipman; her sisters, Betty Barrow and Janice Shipman; and her son Kevin Carpenter.
She is survived by: her husband Walter Erwin; her children, Denise Pearce (Tony) and Jeremy Carpenter (Kim Walker); her sister Gloria Strickland; and her grandchildren, Paul, Grace, Bryant, Zachary, Samantha and McCoy.
