He was predeceased by: his parents, Lola Piner and Cora Piner; his wife Helen Daniels Piner; his brother Ellsworth Piner; his granddaughter Louann Malishewsky; his nephew Randy Piner; and his niece Jeanne Morris.
He is survived by: his children, Pollyanna Willis of Williston and Johnny Piner (Susan) of Williston; his grandchildren, Elaina Piner Beeks (Marcus), Samuel R. Piner, Matthew Neil Willis (Desiree) and Blair Huntley Willis (Kari); his great grandchildren, Brittney Phelan, Hailey Clark, Marcus Beeks Jr., Landon Barnes, Isaac Beeks, Maddox Willis, Vivian Willis, Mavrhen Willis, Nova Willis and Bentley Piner; and his great great grandchildren, Jessica Phelan and Anna Marie Phelan.
