He is survived by: his wife Alice Roberts; his children, Gregory Roberts (Naomi) of Williamston, NC, Stanley Roberts (Pamela) of Winterville, NC and Janet Yarborough (Bernard) of Durham, NC; and his siblings, Frances King of Williamston, NC and David Hardison of Conetoe, NC.. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
