He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Samuel and Ethel Bell Lilley Dickerson; and his brothers, Robert B. Dickerson and Roy Samuel Dickerson, Jr.. He is survived by: his sons, Richard A. "Richie" Dickerson Hardison (Trish) of Statesville, NC and Travis Dickerson Hardison (Mindy) of Statesville, NC; his sister Sue D. Sawyer (Henry) of Kinston; and his sisters-in-law, Phyllis Dickerson of Plymouth and Beverly Dickerson of Williamston. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
