With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martha Bennett of Williamston, North Carolina, who passed away on February 20, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clara Miotke and James Miotke. She is survived by: her husband Doug Bennett; her daughters, Lori Gauss (Derek) and Jill Gauss; her grandchildren, Jai Gauss (Eden), Ash Gauss, Austin Gauss, Jenna Gauss and Hailey Gauss; her sisters, Georganne Withey and Jane White; and also, Penny Nickel and Tim Small. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.

She and her niece, Becky Holmes, put on a fund raiser for FFB (Foundation Fighting Blindness) every year.
