He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Vernon Edmondson and Irma Edmondson; his former wife Linda Hale Edmondson; his sister Joyce Earle Turner; and his daughter Cindy Ellis.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn "Faye" Edmondson; his son Lewis Clayton "Clay" Edmondson, II (Sheila); his stepdaughter Gina Hicks Angel; his grandson Aaron Angel; and also, Cindy, Scott Williams and Don Schwahn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made in Clayton's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
