He is survived by: his wife Karen Swain; his stepchildren, Katlyn Clark (Josh) of Williamston and Cody Silverthorne of Williamston; his siblings, Johnny Whitfield (Becky) of Louisburg, Janet Whitfield of Holly Springs and Jennifer Whitfield (Jay Derrick) of Lake Royale; his grandson Waylon Clark; and his in-laws, Bud and Janice Swain of Williamston.
