He was predeceased by: his mother Sallie Russell; his wife Alice Cherry; and his daughter Maggie Ruth Williams Dpreceded. He is survived by: his sons, Gregory Cherry of Windsor, NC, Robert E. Cherry (Ruth) of Windsor, NC, Johnny Williams of New York, Curley Williams of New York and LuBertha Smallwood of New York. He is also survived by Five grandchildren, seven great Pgrandchildren, cousins, relatives, and friends.
