He was predeceased by: his parents, Ann Tice Bowen and Irvin Henry Bowen, Sr.; his siblings, Fran Bowen Ryan and Terry Joe Bowen, Sr.; and his brother-in-law Larry Evans.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jim Bowen (Cheryl) of New Bern, Eddie Bowen (Fran) of Williamston, Irvin Bowen Jr. (Stacey) of Williamston and Pam Bowen Evans of Jamesville. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
