It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna Smith Everett (Williamston, North Carolina), who passed away on September 14, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Hyman and Edward Vannoy Smith; her husband Alvin; and her daughter Nita Purvis. She is survived by: her son Herbert Lee Everett (Claudia); her son-in-law Connell Purvis; and her grandchildren, Tadge Jefferson (William), Todd Purvis (Penny), Jessica Rouse (Roy) and Addie Taylor (Tommy). She is also survived by her 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
