He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Jackson Gurganus, Sr. and Fannie Mae Chesson. He is survived by: his wife Pattie Williams Gurganus of Robersonville; his daughters, Pam Wynne (David) of Gold Point and Vinya Ward (James) of Williamston; his siblings, Thelma Jefferson (Linwood) of Washington and Stanley Gurganus (Sylvia) of Matthews; his grandchildren, Kara Lynch (Jason) of Winston Salem, Sara Leach of Wilkesboro, Chesson Williams (Zach) of Williamston, Amy Reason (Davis) of Raleigh and Julia Ward of Williamston; and his great grandchildren, Alex Leach, Mia Lynch and Emma Clare Williams.
