She was predeceased by: her parents, John Cecil and Mable Claire Beasley. She is survived by: her son Ed Gurganus; her daughter-in-law Sara Gurganus of Minneapolis; her son Ray Gurganus; and her son-in-law Mario Sengco of Washington, DC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (114 E Church St, Williamston, NC 27892). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
