He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Covington and Mildred Covington (Dover); and his brother Cecil Covington. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Covington (Holloway); his children, Stephen Elige Covington, Ellen Hoye (Kyle) and Crystal Covington; his siblings, Ray Brooks (Ruthy), Ann Williams (Junior), Evelyn Poole and Ellen Merritt; and his grandchildren, Jeremy (Big Bug), Jason, Kaitlyn, Chloe, Joseph, Swayze, Everleigh and Tynleigh.
