With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Edward Earl Padgett of Willard, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Matrue and Gertrude Maready Padgett; and his sisters, Norma Gurganus and Peggy English. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Teresa Padgett; his sons, Mike Boyette (Amy) of High Point and Eric Sholar (Carol) of Willard; his grandchildren, Tyler Parker of High Point, Blake Boyette of High Point and Isabella Sholar of Willard; his sister Carolyn P. Brooks of Wallace; his sisters-in-law, Wanda Mercer of Willard and Felicia Bradshaw (Harry) of Teachey; his close friends, Dale Dixon of Wallace and Michael Wells of Willard; and his pet Dylan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Church of Pentecostal Gathering (1342 N Norwood St, Wallace, NC 28466). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
