As David departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though David may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy David leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Blanton and Martha Leary Blanton. He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Wells Blanton; his daughters, Julie Carter (Bobby) of Clinton and Lyn Blanton (Don) of Willard; his grandchild Jordan Carter; and his siblings, Michael Blanton (Carol) of Loris, SC, Diane Jones (Jimmy) of Harrells, Betty Ann Carroll (Robert) of Lillington, NC and Annette McEachin. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many, many friends.
A memorial service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Peniel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church (6847 Englishtown Rd, Wallace, NC 28478).
