We are sad to announce that on July 14, 2018, at the age of 87, Worth Theodore Smithey (Wilkesboro, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Smithey and Clara Johnson Smithey; his former wife Mary Brock Smithey; and his siblings, Ruth Rhodes, Lucille Brown, Joyce Hutchens and Ralph Smithey.
He is survived by: his wife Pat Shumaker Faw Smithey; his children, Leslie Pierce, Stephanie Osborne, Ronald W. Smithey of Little River, SC, Edwin T. Smithey (Wendy) of Greensboro and Gregory Faw (Cynthia) of Wilkesboro; his grandchildren, Morgan Smithey, Elizabeth Anderson, Emily Faw, Ben Pierce and Kaitlyn Pierce; his great grandchildren, Hastings Shumate and Holden Shumate; and his siblings, Gladys Anderson of Wilkesboro, Willa Mae Waddell (Bobby) of North Wilkesboro, Jeri Burkhart (Jerry), Debbie Bare of Moravian Falls, Wayne Smithey of Greensboro and Clayton Smithey (Kathern) of Greensboro.
